Wellington Crowthorne Trust

The Wellington Crowthorne Trust promotes the spiritual, moral, mental and physical capacities of persons resident in the Parishes of Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Finchampstead and Wokingham Without in the pursuit of educational activities, with preference given to those under the age of 25.

The Trust was established in 1978 with the sale of two London buildings belonging to alumni of Wellington College. Today it is governed and managed as an independent charity by Wellington College staff, alumni and members of the local community.

We welcome applications for support from:
  • Schoolteachers in respect of pupils who would not otherwise be able to attend school trips due to the family’s financial or home circumstances;
  • Parents of home-schooled children requiring financial support for educational trips;
  • Any young person with special talents in their chosen sport or pursuit requiring financial support to attend competitions or events;
  • University students undertaking research projects requiring travel.

Please note:

At this point in time, we are not accepting applications for trips to long-haul (outside of UK or Europe) destinations.

If the application is for help with a school trip, and if your child attends school in Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Finchampstead or Wokingham Without, then the application form must be submitted by the school.

Parents can submit an application on behalf of children based in Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Finchampstead or Wokingham Without if their child is home-schooled, or if they attend a school outside of the area.

Only those children resident in or attending the schools located in Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Finchampstead and Wokingham Without are eligible for a grant from the Trust.
